Location

Our high school campus is located in the beautiful West Portal neighborhood of San Francisco.

The campus at 470 West Portal Avenue is accessible by public transportation. There is a light rail stop directly in front of the campus serving both the K and M Muni lines. With Highway 1 and Route 280 and BART all providing direct access to the City, the campus is easily reachable from anywhere in the Bay Area.

The campus is also within easy walking distance of the numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes on West Portal Avenue, and only a very short distance away from Stern Grove, Ocean Beach, Lake Merced, and Harding Park.

Driving Directions

SFWHS is located on the corner where West Portal Avenue and Portola Drive converge with Sloat Boulevard. Please note that you may only enter the campus traveling south on West Portal Avenue due to the MUNI lines that stop in front of the school.

From the South Bay:

Take I-280 North. Continue on CA-1 North. Continue on Junipero Serra Boulevard, making a slight right onto Junipero Serra at 19th Avenue. At the intersection with Sloat Boulevard, continue on to West Portal.

From the North:

Take 101 South. Take the exit onto CA-1 South toward 19th Avenue/Golden Gate Park. Turn left at Sloat Boulevard. Take a slight left at West Portal Avenue.

From the East Bay:

Take I-80 West toward San Francisco. Continue onto 101 South. Take the I-280 exit to Daly City. Take the Ocean Avenue exit. Turn right at Junipero Serra Boulevard. Continue on West Portal Avenue.
