Library
The San Francisco Waldorf High School Library provides a dynamic learning environment with a wide range of resources, programs, and services for all members of the school community.
The Library collection includes more than 3,500 books, twenty-five magazines, journals and newspapers; CDs, DVDs, videos, audiocassettes and maps; and access to the full-text of thousands of periodicals through our online resource databases.
The Library also features an online catalog, accessible both on and off the campus; and, a self-checkout computer system that allows students and faculty members to have full access to library materials during the entire school day.
Throughout the year, the Librarian presents a "Meet the Author" program series and brings cultural exhibits to the school. Since September 2006, the Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, the best-selling author Zlata Filipovic, poet and writer Melanie Challenger, and U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky have addressed the school.
In addition, the Library contains computers for library research; comfortable study spaces for groups engaged in project work and tutoring sessions; as well as quiet spaces for individual students to read, do homework, and relax.
If you have questions or suggestions, please contact the Librarian, Mary Anne McGill by e-mail or phone at 415-431-2736, ext. 22.
